In 25 years, I want your favorite photos as a couple to be from the day you met your baby.
What I see when I look at this photo: my husband’s broad, excited grin. The laugh lines at the corners of his eyes. The comfort of his arm cradling me. His other hand gentle on my shoulder. The pride in the way he touches his forehead to mine. I feel the relief on my face. You can’t see the fresh, wet baby girl in the towel, but I can feel her on my chest like it was yesterday.

Hi, I’m Regina Martin and I might not know much, but this is what I do know…
Birth is more than a physical, messy, medical event.
The act of giving birth can be powerful.
It can bring partners together in a way that they didn’t know was possible.
Birth can be more than a physical process that happens to you. If you’ll allow me to get a little woo-woo, I believe you are a powerful, enigmatic being that is capable of intense, magical creation.
Partners bring an incredible strength and awareness to the birth space, often more than they know.
Every pregnancy and birth experience gives you new tools for the parenting of this baby.
Regardless of what your birth looks like, the day you welcome your baby into your arms will change your perspective of yourself, of your partner, of your relationship forever.
Most moms have fuzzy memories of their baby’s birth because it’s hard, intense work, so my job is to bring the gift of sharp, vivid clarity to your memories of your partner’s supportive touch, your first excited reactions to meeting your baby, and your strength and grace through the entire process.
“When I see those photos, I feel so strong and beautiful, which isn’t something I feel in my everyday life.”
